The purpose of this online handheld demo is to
provide a general introduction to the handheld product being displayed.
It is a simulation of what you could do with the
product if it was actually in your hands. If you were holding it, you
would hit the buttons and see the results. Here, online, you can do the
same thing. However, instead of hitting a button on an actual device with
your finger, you can hit a button by moving your mouse over the button and
left clicking it. Of course, you can't hit every button and see every
function online, as you would in real life, but you can run through the
demo we have, to give you some idea of what the product is like.
Each screen is made up of several elements,
including the Navigation Buttons, Page Title, Page Number, Text Box, and
Product Image. The Navigation Buttons are across the top of each page,
including the First Page, HandHeldDemo Home, JVInventory Home, and the
Help buttons. The First Page button will always take you to the first page
of the demonstration. This is useful if you get lost or confused during
the demo. You can always start over by hitting this button. The
HandHeldDemo Home button will take you to the home page of the company
that produces these online handheld demonstrations, where you can learn
more about their services, and link to other demo's you might find
interesting. The JVInventory Home button will take you to the home page of
the company providing the product this page is demonstrating, where you
might learn more about the company, the product, and other products and
services provided by that company. The Help button takes you to this help
page. The Page Title is just above the text box. It provides a title for
what is happening on each page. This will help get the message across of
what is currently happening in the demo, as well as giving you a reference
point to visualize where you are in the demo.
In addition to the Page Title, is the Page Number.
Each page has a unique number. This helps to navigate through the demo, as
well as providing a convenient reference to a particular page for
discussion purposes. The Text Box contains the demonstration narrative for
the page. This is what a representative from the company providing this
product would tell you, if they were there with you, while you held this
product in your hand. The Product Image is a simulation of the actual
product. Its the next best thing to holding the product in your hand. Some
buttons on the handheld are enabled on some pages but not others,
depending on whether that button would be used in real life in that
situation. In addition to the active buttons on the handheld, some pages
have other objects you can click on, such as a bar code. Just move your
mouse, or pointing device, over the image until you see what buttons are
enabled, and left click on the button that you would push in real life.
The Text Box may give you some instructions on which buttons to hit on
each page. If you wish to back up to previous pages, you can use the BACK
button of your browser. We hope you have a pleasant experience running
through this demonstration. If you have any feedback, you're invited to
click on the HandHeldDemo Home button, or the JVInventory Home button, and
find the a feedback form or an email address. Alternatively, you can
always send an email to demos@handhelddemo.com, where there
will be someone very interested in your feedback.
